Our automatic foam slitters can slit large amounts of materials into thin strips. We can do custom width rolls by razor cut, baloney slit or crush cut. Depending in the material, we have the capability to rotate the slitting blades during baloney slitting.
The razor cut slitting process, also known as burst slitting, is when a single thin blade cuts through a piece of material that has been held in place. The blade passes quickly and smoothly through the material creating a more precise cut.
Crush slitting (score slitting) is when circular blades, score cut knives or perforator blades are pressed against steel cylinders, and foam and other materials with more uneven thicknesses are pulled through.
Our state of the art slitters are programmed for proper blade speed, direction and cycle. This ensures that each cut is accurate and efficient.
